Button Button, Who's Got The Button

Aren't these cute as, well, a button? My mom made these for my sewing room. Fun, huh?

She collected coasters (turquoise, yellow and red) and wood cheese plates (green, purple) from thrift stores. Then she marked out the holes for the button holes and used a 1/2" or 1" drill bit. She gave them to me primed and ready for my color choice. Of course unless they're big and bright they're just not fun for me. 

I'm thinking about adding ribbon for the "thread" in the button holes, but at the moment I'm loving these sans decor.
